Coach Pruett has been the Club Director of Midwest Volleyball Power since its inception 8 years ago. Coach Pruett also took over the reigns as the Head Volleyball Coach for College of St Mary in Omaha, NE for the 2017 season. His impressive resume includes 18 years of collegiate Head Coaching experience, 24 years of USA Junior Olympic Coaching and 6 years of High School Coaching experience. Coach Pruett is a USAVB CAP 1 Certified, IMPACT Certified and SafeSport Certified Coach. In addition, Coach Pruett is PAVO certified and officiates NAIA and NCAA DI and DII matches.
Coach Pruett has accumulated over 500 wins at the Club/AAU Level, and 400 wins at the Collegiate/High School level. Coach Pruett’s extensive resume has led 7 teams to the USA Junior National Tournament with a team finishing as high as 9th place in 2012. Under the direction of Coach Pruett, Midwest Volleyball Power has taken four teams to AAU National Tournaments. Coach Pruett lead the 18’s Team to a National Championship in the 18’s Classic Division in 2015. He also led two Midwest Volleyball Power Club Teams to National Qualifier Tournament Championships: 17’s Division at Show Me Qualifier in 2013 & 18’s Division at Colorado Crossroads Qualifier in 2014.
At the Collegiate level, Coach Pruett guided 2 teams to National Tournament appearances. Consistent excellence was a hallmark for Dakota Valley’s Volleyball Program with the leadership of Coach Pruett. Coach Pruett’s guided the Panthers to a Class A South Dakota State Championship in 2013, a 3rd place finish at the State Tournament in 2014, a 4th place finish in 2015 and another State Championship in 2016. He was recognized as SD Region IV “Coach of the Year” in 2016. Coach Pruett believes in teaching the fundamentals of the game and instructs with an enthusiastic style that provides players with a fun, positive learning experience on and off the court. Coach Pruett has coached 19 All-Americans and has seen over 20 of his former players become high school or collegiate coaches.
