Coronavirus Situation

May 8, 2020

As of May 5, North Sioux City businesses, including the United Sports Academy, were given permission by the North Sioux City Council to open at 50% occupancy while following CDC guidelines including social distancing. Although we are thankful for this opportunity, at this time, the health of our United Sports Academy athletes and families is most important to us. Due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Siouxland, the United Sports Academy has decided to remain closed for the remainder of May. We plan to open back up with limited programming on June 1 with safety procedures in place to keep our members safe and healthy!

United Sports Academy Statement on the Coronavirus Situation

With the evolution and uncertainty caused by the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to take this time to assure you that we are closely monitoring the situation and will continue to do so in our effort to provide a safe environment for all who enter the CNOS Fieldhouse. United Sports Academy does not take our responsibility lightly. We have and always will prioritize the health and safety of our athletes, parents, staff and community members above everything else.

We take great pride in the cleanliness of our facility. Our entryway, common area, bathrooms, training equipment and courts are cleaned on a regular basis. We use sanitizing solutions in frequently touched, high-traffic areas and we have now enhanced our cleaning protocols according to the CDC recommendations, and will also dedicate an associate to maintain key areas throughout the day.

Please review the following simple steps you can take to help protect you and your family.

● Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

●If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.

●Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

●Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

●Stay home if you’re sick or experiencing any of the following symptoms: cough, head and body aches, fever and shortness of breath.

●Get medical care if you are sick.
