United Sports Academy Coach, Lindsey Smith, Receives Outstanding Graduate Student Award
NORTH SIOUX CITY, SD – United Sports Academy MVP United volleyball coach, Lindsey Smith, is the recipient of the Outstanding Graduate Student in Sport Coaching Award, School of Kinesiology and Nutrition, from The University of Southern Mississippi.
Smith completed her MS in Sport Coaching Education from The University of Southern Mississippi in the Spring of 2020 where she also competed as an athlete in Beach Volleyball. She received her undergraduate degree in Sport Management from The University of Nebraska-Kearney where she also earned All American honors in Indoor Volleyball.
Lindsey Smith is highly active and dedicated to the MVP United volleyball program at the United Sports Academy. She serves as the Recruiting Coordinator for the MVP United volleyball athletes providing athletes and families with guidance of the recruiting process from her first hand experience as a high school athlete, indoor collegiate athlete and outdoor (beach) collegiate athlete. Smith is an MVP United volleyball lesson instructor with an emphasis in setter training and is an assistant coach for MVP United’s 18 Red team who is preparing to play at the AAU National Tournament in July 2020. Smith recently accepted a marketing position with Great Plains Volleyball, a regional division of USA Volleyball, and is also an assistant coach at College of St. Mary in Omaha, NE.
In response to her Outstanding Graduate Student award, it was written, “Lindsey is most deserving of this recognition from the quality of work she has demonstrated in her graduate studies. She is clearly passionate about coaching and has demonstrated a commitment to ongoing professional development. We congratulate Lindsey on her success and wish her the best of luck in her future coaching.”
