The United Sports Academy Hosts First Youth Basketball Tournament

NORTH SIOUX CITY, SD – The United Sports Academy will be hosting their first youth basketball tournament, the Siouxland Showcase, May 31st – June 2nd at their sports facility, the CNOS Fieldhouse. 74 teams consisting of both boys and girls grades 3rd - 11th are signed up to play in the Siouxland Showcase. Teams will be coming from Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota and Minneapolis to play in the basketball tournament.

This will be the largest event the United Sports Academy has hosted since opening in February 2019. Over 2,500 people are expected to attend the basketball tournament. Guests will enjoy on-site concessions and will have the option to purchase tournament t-shirts and United Sports Academy apparel.

The tournament will also benefit the local community with out-of-town guests utilizing Siouxland hotels, restaurants and shopping stores.

"We are looking forward to a great weekend of basketball,” says Heidi Connelly, Marketing Director for the United Sports Academy. “We are thrilled to have so many teams signed up for our first tournament. Our staff has been working hard to get everything ready to make this a successful event. We plan on hosting a similar tournament each year.”

The media is encouraged to attend the event either on June 1 or June 2, which is when the majority of the games will take place.
